Business and Operations Excellence Manager

Responsibilities and Duties:

Primary Function:
The key role of the Business and Operations Excellence is essential for driving strategic insights, optimizing commercial operations, and enhancing overall business performance. This role focuses on identifying key value drivers and establishing business KPIs to support our mission of delivering innovative healthcare solutions and maximizing market access.

Job Overview:

Strategic Insights:
Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and commercial performance data to provide actionable insights that guide strategic decisions in marketing, sales, and business development.

KPI Development:
Identify, define, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of commercial strategies and initiatives.
• Contributes to the definition of business objectives and sales incentives plan
• Deliver significant Business impacts and/ or contributions to Organization through improvements in Key KPI’s assigned with Standards
• As an ongoing practice, monitor & conduct deep dive analysis on areas of opportunities within the organization and implement corrective actions, to help achieve desired results of Identified KPI’s

Sales Support Tools:
Develop analytical tools and dashboards to support sales teams in data-driven decision-making and enhance sales performance.

Reporting and Communication:
Prepare and present comprehensive reports and insights to senior leadership and commercial stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making.

Process Optimization:
Lead initiatives to streamline commercial processes, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer engagement across sales and marketing functions.

Collaborate Market Access Strategies:
Support the development of pricing and market access strategies by providing financial analysis and insights on value propositions. Responsible to perform pipeline analytics for a variety of purposes (strategic sessions, KA plan preparation, tactical initiatives)
• Identify manage and report on all internal control deficiencies real-time and work with business Process Owners to facilitate the creation of action plans
• May also conduct change management efforts at a moderate level of complexity impacting business units cross-functional processes

Project Management:
Oversee and monitor projects at a program level, ensuring delivery of schedules, scope, and costs on time and within budget.

Cross-Functional Coordination:
Collaborate with operations and accounting teams in Shanghai, coordinating with the offshore reconciliation team to ensure effective communication and best practices. This role will enhance financial awareness across the business to foster a better understanding of financial implications in decision-making. The manager will conduct profit and loss analyses to assess local financial performance and ensure accurate reporting. Additionally, they will strengthen reporting, forecasting, and control capabilities within relevant disciplines, support business staff in measuring and evaluating productivity, quality, and cost improvement initiatives, and prepare and maintain operational budgets, forecasts, and related reports.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent qualification. MBA or CPA a plus, but not required
• Experience in pharmaceutical industry, business partnering with an executive team. Preferrable with finance, commercial excellence and business excellence work experience
• Solid sales effectiveness experience is an added value.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in a finance role demonstrating strong technical and analytical skills and a track record of success working in a team-based environment or the equivalent combination of education and experience
• Management experience highly desired.
